Concept Hospitality was founded by Justin North in 2018.
JUSTIN NORTH
Justin has spent more than 35 years building restaurants and shaping hotels — first as a chef, and later as an advisor to some of Australia’s leading hospitality groups.
He built his reputation running and developing his own restaurants and F&B venues, from brasseries and cafés to bakeries and burger joints, evolving into some of Sydney’s premier dining spaces. Becasse was among his best-known restaurants, earning a place on the 2007 S.Pellegrino Best Restaurants List and was awarded Sydney Morning Herald Restaurant of the Year the same year. Justin was also namedSMH Chef of the Year in 2009, and GQ Chef of the Year at the Man of the Year Awards in 2010.
In 2014, he joined Sydney’s Halcyon Hotels to oversee the rebrand and refurbishment of The Centennial, reshaping one of the eastern suburbs’ most-loved venues for a new era.
In late 2017, Justin returned to his roots — this time advising hotels and F&B precincts, drawing on his full range of experience beyond the kitchen. In 2018, he founded Concept Hospitality with a vision to challenge the traditional model of food and beverage development in hotels and bring a more modern approach to the industry.
